Everyone has their own preferred toppings for hot dogs, but one thing that really takes them to the next level is wrapping them in sweet, spicy and salty bacon strips.
Make sure your bacon gets nice and crispy to get that contrasting textures in every mouthful.– Sir Racha
6 bacon strips
4 beef hot dogs
4 hot dog buns, split and toasted
1 brown onion sliced
1 green capsicum
1 bottle of Sir Racha
Put a large skillet on medium heat and cook the strips of bacon until they are partially cooked, but not crisp. Remove the bacon and place on paper towel to drain. Once cool enough to handle, drizzle a generous amount of Sir Racha onto the strips. Wrap 1-1.5 strips of bacon around each hot dog using toothpicks to secure as needed.
Grill the hot dogs over medium heat for 6-8 minutes or until the bacon goes crispy. While the hot dogs are cooking, cook the sliced onions over low-medium heat in the same skillet used for the bacon until the onions turn translucent.
Place hot dogs into the toasted buns, top with Sir Racha, then the onions and some diced green capsicum.
